Institute for Computer Aided Architectural Design
The Institute for Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) deals with the design, planning, simulation, and visualisation of architecture with the support of software. The institute is also responsible for the network infrastructure of the Faculty of Architecture. One research topic is the “netzentwurf” a web-based platform where architecture faculties and institutes can cooperate.
Chair for Building Services and Design
The Chair for Building Services and Design examines the integration of building design and building services. The aim is to merge the technical equipment into the concept of a building. Particular attention is paid to the using of renewable energies in combination with intelligent architectural solutions.
Chair for Structures and Structural Design
The Chair for Structures and Structural Design teaches the calculation, construction and design of support structures. Some of their current research topics are innovations in steel and glass construction, folded support structures and computer aided design of free form supporting frameworks.
E.ON Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate
The E.ON Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate conducts research in the reduction of energy consumption of buildings and increasing indoor air quality. This includes the energy aspects of the buildings and energy distribution, energy storage and its delivery to the room and the thermal behavior of the structure.

The Chair for Technical Communication focuses on electronic communication in technology, business, management and science.
Im Projekt eHealth „Enhancing Mobility with Aging: Adaptive Immersive Interfaces to Personal Health Care Systems“ wird untersucht, wie man medizintechnische Produkte im häuslichen Umfeld integrieren kann.
Chair for Business Administration
The Chair for Business Administration especially focuses on Corporate Financial Management. Some of their current research topics are Corporate Finance and Investment, Portfoliomanagement and Real Estate Economics.
