Christmas party

Today we celebrated a Christmas party, organized together with the Chair of Building Technology. Previously, we tidied up and festively decorated the premises, Professor Brown kindly also makes available as working and meeting rooms for us. Keeping in line with our "Re-use" – principle, we have put up a Christmas tree in the entrance area, which was already used at the big party of the faculty the day before. After a warm welcoming speech by Professor Brown, who also utilized the celebration to make his debut in the chair, introducing several new employees, the large buffet was opened. After that our own team band "Counter-Bantropy" played for the first time and provided a great atmosphere! This appearance was rounded off by a short acceptance speech, held to thank Professor Brown for his hospitality at the institute. The rest of the evening we were dancing to party music and colorful disco lighting.

Lamp designs "One thing one light"

As part of the course "One thing one light" students of the Faculty of Architecture have designed different lamps which, according to our counter-entropy concept, consist of different re-use materials. Within a few weeks about 40 participants developed their own design of a standing or hanging lamp and finally presented them illuminated in the basement of the faculty. The lamps are made of film cans, clothespins, old fire hoses, plastic cutlery, yogurt cups, egg cartons and bottle caps. Despite the great results we do not yet know, which lamps we are going to integrate in the interior of our building. We plant to show the best designs separately on our website later.
